Gary M. Scoggin, P.E. has over 25 years’ experience in strategic environmental management and 36 years’ overall experience in the energy industry. Mr. Scoggin’s background includes management of climate change and air quality at a corporate level and creating innovative approaches to addressing the issues and risks in these arenas. He has extensive experience discussing these matters with the government officials, with industry peers, in the media and with the public. Mr. Scoggin retired from BP in 2015 as the Group Expert for GHG and Air Quality management, a role that had global and company-wide responsibilities. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University and a M.S. in Environmental Management from the University of Houston – Clear Lake as well as additional executive management training. Mr. Scoggin sits on the Executive Committee of the Houston-Galveston Regional Air Quality Planning Advisory Committee and is on the Board of Directors of several area non-profit organizations.
